Hadith of the Day: THE IMPORTANCE OF INTENTION

leave a comment »

I, (Umar son of Al Khattab) heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah’s blessing and peace be upon) say:

“Indeed, deeds are (judged) only by the intention, and there is for everyone that which he intended.
If one’s migration is to Allah and His Messenger, then one’s migration is to Allah and His Messenger.
If one’s migration is to seek the world, then one’s migration is for that. If a man migrates for the sake of a woman and marries her, then his migration is for that which he migrated.”

Ref. 1/Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to (Abu Hafs) Umar son of al-Khattab (s) who related this.

The Excellence of Aayaatul – Kursi – Surah Baqarah 2 Vers 255

leave a comment »

Ibn as-suna traced a Tradition-( Hadith) from Ail may Allah Ta’ ala, ennoble his face said; Rasualullah sallallau-alayhi-wasallam ” That Faatihatul-Kitab and the Throne-verse and Al-Imran Verses (3:18-19a) [18 starts with- Shahidallahu annah] and [19a is- innad-deena-‘ in-dall-hil lslam] and (3: 26-27) [ 26-27 starts from Qul-lilla-humma-malikal-mulki… to the end of bi-gheera-hisaaba] are hung upon the Throne; between them and Allah there is no veil… And Allah Most High Said, ” I have sworn that none of my servants shall recite you after every prayer-rite without my making Paradise his placing him in the enclosure of holiness; and without my glancing at him with my eye of mystery, seventy glances every day; and without my supplying for him daily, seventy needs, the least of them forgiveness; and without my sheltering him from every enemy and giving him victory.
If Aaytul – Kursi is blown on yourself shayaan or jinns alike will not dare come near you.

Salawat Al-Fatih

with one comment

Salat Al-Fatih is held in particular esteem with the Tijaniyya Order. In English, it goes like this:-

O God bless our Master Muhammad (pbuh) who opened what had been closed, and who is the Seal of what had gone before, he who makes the Truth Victorious by the Truth, the guide to thy straight path, and bless his household as is the due of his immense position and grandeur.

the above transliteration is :-

Allahumma salli ‘ wa sallim was baarik ala Sayyidina Muhammadil

nil-fatihi lima Ughliqa wal khatimi lima sabaqa wan-naa-siril-haqqi

bil-haqqi wal-hadi ila Sirati-kal-mustaqima sal-lal-lahu ‘alayhi

wa ‘ala alihi wa-ashaabihi haqqa qadrihi wa-miq-da rihil-‘azim.

From a Tijaniyya Order member

The history of Salatul al-Fatih is this. A man named Sayyidi Bekri went into khalwa for 40 years, asking Allah to give him the best Salatul-ala Nabiyya. It was written on the wall in light and he was told not to give it to others until the owner of it appeared.

Another version but no arabic

Allahumma Salli’Ala Sayyidina Muhammadil Fatihi Lima Ughliqa wal Khatimi Lima Sabaqa Nasril Haqqi Bil Haqqi Wal Hadi Ila Siratikal Mustaqim wa ‘Ala Alihi Haqqa Qadrihi wa Miqdarihil Azim.

From another Tijaniyya Order member

The reason why it is the best Salat Ala Nabi, Because all other Salat ala Nabi end with Wa Sallim, or Tasliman. Salim means Peace. Mankind is the only thing that needs peace. Allah and his angels don’t need peace. Salatul Fatih ends with Azeem in the dua. But after finishing the prayer ends with Al Hamdu Lillahi Rabbi Aalimeen. Another reason it is the best and has all those blessings as you described is because it praises The Prophet before the creation of Time and it praises him After creation. The opener and the seal. It is also said to be equivelant to reading the Quran 6 thousand times. Why? How? Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse said any Salawat Ala Nabiy especially Salawatul Fatih is the Quran of Quran. Salawatul Fatih is different from other because it is the Prayer of Allah and His Angels.

Another main reason why Salatul Ala Nabi is so Powerful and great is because Only Allah can send prayers on the Prophet(PBUH). When you say Allahuma Sali You have nothing to do with the prayer anymore it is just Allah and the Prophet(PBUH). The Tariqa Tijaniyya is based on Salawatul Fatih it is the main difference between the tijaniyya and other turuq. For this approval has come from the Prophet to Shaykh Ahmad Tijani in broad daylight.

From the Tijaniyya – abun-Nasr; an excert from:- And Muhammad Is His Messenger : The Veneration of the Prophet in Islamic Piety by Annemarie Schimmel, ISBN: 0807841285

The Salat (Durood) is considered to have merits of eight categories…. He who reads it once is guaranteed the bless of the two abodes; also reciting it once atones for all sins and is equivalent to six thousand (6000) times all prayers of glorification to God, all Dhikr and Dua’a, long and short which have occurred in the Universe. He who recites it ten (10) times acquires recompense greater than that due to a Wali (saint) who lived ten Thousand years, but did not say it. Saying it once is equivalent to the prayers of all angels, human beings, and Jinn from the beginning of their creation to the time when it was uttered, and saying is a second time is like [i.e. equivalent to the recompense of the first] plus the recompense of the first a and the second, and so on.

A book of Salawat durood Shareef

It is because of this Durood that he was awarded the title Siddiq which means truthful.

Hadhrat Abul-Muqaraab says that a man’s total sins will be washed away if he recites Durood Faith 40 times.

Hadhrat Shaykh Muhammad Bakari says that recitatin of Durood Faith once a day relieves the recitor from the fire of hell.

Hadhrat Syed Ahmed Hillam says the Durood Fatih was favourite routine of Hadhrat Shaykh Abul-Qadir Gilani.

The great Saints say that Durood Fatih is actual and real light.

Hadhrat shaykh Yusuf Bin Ismail says that this Durood shareef is the Greatest mystry of Allah ta’ala. It brings 100% success and happiness to the reciter

In fact this Durood brings prosperity and luck and solves all the naughty problems by the grace of Allah ta’ ala.

When a man recites this Durood shareef angels of Allah ta’ala surround him, mercy covers him and peace starts descending on him.

Istikhaarah as the Spiritual Guidance – Reward upon Reward

leave a comment »

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

O Allah! Behold I ask You the good through Your Knowledge, and ability through Your Power, and beg (Your favour) out of Your infinite Bounty. For surely You have Power; I have none. You know all; I know not. You are the Great Knower of all things.
O Allah! If in Your Knowledge this matter be good for my faith (Deen), for my livelihood, and for the consequences of my affairs, then ordain it for me, and make it easy for me, and bless me therein. But if in Your Knowledge, this matter be bad for my faith (Deen) for my livelihood, and for the consequences of my affairs, then turn it away from me, and turn me away therefrom, and ordain for me the good wherever it be, and cause me to be pleased therewith.

Istikhaarah is to seek guidance from Allah when one is faced with a problem to which no solution is apparent.

Whenever a person is faced with a difficult problem, or becomes hesitant in making a decision and his knowledge of the matter is insufficient to guide him then after seeking advice from trusted friends he should turn to Allah and beseech His grace. He should willingly and with an open heart and mind supplicate for divine guidance and ask for direction so that the problem is solved in his own best interest. The Du’aa at such an occasion is called Istikhaarah.

Istikhaarah is in fact an invaluable teaching of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) with which the Muslims have been favoured. This blessing could give solace to many for all times to come. It is related in the Hadith that Rasulullah (SAW) use to teach the Istikhaarah to the Sahaabah (RA) like the Qur’an is taught to children. In another Hadith it is stated that ‘He does not fail who makes Istikhaarah and he does not regret who makes Mashwarah (consultation).

In the Masnoon Istikhaarah, after one has carried out his responsibility as best as one can, one should hand over the entire matter and oneself to the limitless knowledge of Allah Ta’ala. By resorting to Istikhaarah one is now retrieved of making a decision on ones own.

Whenever counsel is sought from a respectable and experienced person, it is expected that he will give good advise and assist to the best of his ability. Similarly Istikhaarah is to seek counsel that the all-Knowing and Merciful Allah? Once Istikhaarah is made then Allah Ta’ala will surely guide him to do what is best for him.

Now there can be no perplexity. Only that will happen which Allah Ta’ala wills and which is good for ones own sake though one may not be able to see it immediately. It is not necessary that one must experience or see an evident change or vision. Allah Ta’ala alone knows what is best for His servants. It is related in the Hadith that ‘Success and good tidings for the son of Aadam (Insaan) is in performing Istikhaarah and his misfortune lies in not making Istikhaarah’.

My Commentary below will explain the Adab- Manners needed in Asking

Reference to 2,6 Salawat ala Rasul is the Adab to all Dua’s if one does not recite Salawat ala Rasul in there dua’s it says their dua’s just float in the air, but Salawat ala Rasul will give them, the stamp they need for Dua to travel lighting speeds to Allah. To illustrate further Salawat ala Rasul is like Bread in a sandwich, it holds everything together and inside that is the rest of the body of the food.Reference to 3,4 this is an introduction to your Dua, have you ever written College/University papers or Read a book of Knowledge that just goes into a subject matter No! One must first explain in an opening or Introduction and then go into the Main Subject. And then maybe have a Conclusion at the End. The same is true in regards to Your Lord, one does not just jump into a Dua’ there needs an introduction of some sort.Reference 5 is self explaining it’s the Dua itself the Main body of text. This can also been found in any Wird-(daily reciting of Duas) or Dhikr of any Tariqah first and last is Salawat ala Rasul in between are other Formulas of Honour, Praise, Glorification and Tawba to Our Lord. So Think why did all the Shaykhs do this because of Adab of asking Their Lord and that is my main reference point. Then after you have completed this Ibadah-Worship you MUST go to sleep and talk to, no one after this action and must sleep on your right hand side in (wudu if you can) because your Soul will come out of your nose and go to your Lords Presence and Perform Two Rak’ah if you sleep in Wudu.

The Dream will be 1/46 prophecy if it happens in the time around Fajr.Note:-

I’ve know of people trying Dua Istikharah, saying it doesn’t work, I asked them if they prayed 5 times a day and Also how they performed the act, and did they know the Adab of it, they said No.As I thought no attention was given on the Adab of the Dua that is Salawat ala Rasul so how can dreams happen. After teaching them the above. One of them had 10 men asking her hand in marriage, another just keep on read the Salawat ala Rasul and memorised some of Surah Ya-sin in her dreams and had her Basirah opened up. (Basirah- Inner eye of the Heart). Just to mention two examples of people who read this way. Also one needs to read it for 3-7 days some people differ on this. And its also about your Spiritual state wheather you will receive an answer that night or following nights to come.

A bonus for those with determination After reading the Above Dua Istikharah re-new your Wudu and then go to sleep. Especially if you’re in Wudu already. WHY.! Because it says in “Sufficient advice by Shaykh Ahmed Zarruq – Cassette” by Hamza Yusuf , that one who re-news one wudu after the Pray, will be dressed in an extra Nur in the heart and Nur in the Body. This is a secret, because its Hasana upon Hasana – reward upon reward. There’s no need for you to do Wudu, but your doing it out Love and Barakah. Also the Secret of Pray, the Miftah-Key, is in Wudu. One needs to do Wudu with presence, thus the Pray will be done in Presence inshallah. Meaning treat your Wudu, when your doing it, as Ibadah-Worship. Dont just rush it, take your time and one can Ayatul-Kursi once one has compeleted it as well, its a kind of seal. If you do this you will see many benefits from it.Please asking any questions freely. For more detail
